Presiding Member
The Presiding Member (PM) is the legislative head of the District Assembly, elected from among the assembly members. The PM presides over all meetings of the assembly and ensures that deliberations are conducted in accordance with the standing orders.
The office of the Presiding Member is crucial in ensuring that the assembly functions effectively as a local government body with the mandate to represent the interests of the people at the local level.

Ensuring transparency and accountability in all assembly activities. Overseeing that the assembly functions in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Representing the assembly at official functions and ceremonies. Liaising with traditional authorities and other stakeholders on behalf of the assembly.
